According to the notice of Chinese Consulate General in Manchester, effective from Jan 01, 2012, an invitation letter issued by a Chinese organization or an individual is required to provide when applying for a Chinese tourist/family visa (L visa). If the invitation letter cannot be provided, the applicant may provide the air ticket and hotel reservation instead. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
